This site is a work in progress and is primarily a photographic representation
of Butterflies native to Hampshire and The New Forest.
During 2009 I developed a strong fascination and respect for these beautiful
insects, spending many hours hunting and photographing
these colourful and challenging subjects in their natural habitats. Luckily
we are blessed with a fine selection of species here in Hampshire.
There are still a few species I've yet to encounter so this site is far from comprehensive, however I intend to update the site frequently
with new photos as and when I am lucky enough to obtain them. Although I have
researched several guides and websites to confirm identification I am aware
that there may be some discrepancies which I am happy to be corrected. Please contact me via e-mail
with the URL(s) of the offending page(s) with details and sources.
